Every week I get a homework assignment in both physics classes (Mechanics and Electromagnetism) and math (partial differential equations). In electromagnetism it was assigned the first day of class and after working on it all week and going to office hours twice I finished it a day before it was due, with much rejoicing. This is fairly unprecedented as I have a nasty history of waiting until the last minute to do my homework, often resulting in all nighters. Also, I’ve never gone to office hours to get help from a teacher on homework. Hopefully I can continue this pattern and will have the motivation to get all this stuff done ahead of time. Right now partial differential equations homework is kicking my ass.
In Japanese related news I’m up to 1300/2050 of the Kanji. I also got back in touch with Yuki, a Japanese friend I knew before ever even thinking about coming to Japan, and he was kind enough to invite me out with him and a group of 7 other Japanese people which was really refreshing and fun.
