We have safely arrived at our hotel here in Mumbai. Already people have been incredibly nice to us on this trip. On the flight to New York I sat beside the UN Ambassador to Thailand, an incredibly interesting and friendly Thai woman. She was in Raleigh getting prepared for the princess of Thailand’s visit to UNC. She was kind enough to have her driver give us a ride to the terminal where our flight to India departed from. The flight here was longgg oh so long but we are safe and sound here in India which is the important thing.
The hotel we are staying at was waiting for us at the airport as promised. They turned the radio on and the first song playing was “Jai Ho,” the end track from Slumdog Millionaire which was hilarious and awesome. Now we will figure out how to get down to Goa. We’ll see how that goes tomorrow. Exhausted and ready to go to sleep nowww, good night hot and sweaty Mumbai.

oh that is funny about Jai Ho! and im super happy to hear your safe and sound =] and even more interesting is the woman on the airplane! That was so nice of her! I’m glad to hear things are going so well
Sounds like your trip is off to a wonderful start!
Agh! The song from slumdog millionaire!
Glad they met you. Glad you made a reservation. Glad you are safely in Mumbai. I will be happy to hear that you have left Mumbai. Looking forward to pictures.
We flatlanders are all in awe of your posts. Even if half of the stories you tell were exagerations, it would still be totally interesting.
Can’t wait to see pictures!
Oh, CONGRATULATIONS on graduation. The Picous are proud of your wondrous accomplishments!
