Sunday a group of us met up at Yoyogi park (which has quickly become a Sunday ritual) with some wine, cheese, crackers, sandwiches, blankets, a hackey sack, and a frisbee and we had ourselves a fantastic picnic. It wasn’t the nicest weather, and in fact started to rain right when the sun was setting, but it was still a great time. Afterwards we went and hung out at the 300 yen bar again for a while which is also always a great time.
Today I got back on track learning Japanese and Moe spent a long time teaching me how to say many different things. I can learn vocabulary on my own, but she’s always been reallllly helpful in teaching me how to combine them into sentences correctly and in a casual way. Everything I learned before I came here was really formal and will get you laughed at around real Japanese people. So once again, thanks Moe!
Today was my difficult day of classes, which means tomorrow and Wednesday I only have 1 class, Japanese. It was rainy today though, but hopefully the weather will agree with me and I’ll be able to run around outside all week.
So here is a really awesome picture of Adam. I’m pretty sure this is going to be in museums someday, so if you want it autographed I’d be happy to do it.
Adam and I hang out quite a bit. This picture does a pretty good job of capturing his personality, so you can see why we’re friends.
This is Ilmo, from Finland.
Ilmo is really awesome as well. Despite what you might think about Scandanavia, he doesn’t listen to much Black Metal. He’s in my Japanese 111 class and we have a lot of fun saying stupid things in Japanese all the time.
This was in Yoyogi park on Sunday. Japan is so weird most people are jaded and hardly looked twice but Adam ran over and snapped a picture.
And sorry, I love taking pictures of skateboarders. These guys are ridiculousss
This guy was a pro.
This guy was great as well, but struggled on the cones (you can see him knocking them over)
Misc
And lastly… me studying my little Japanese book next to Will while waiting for a train. Thanks for the picture, Chris.
