Mom and Dad came to San Jose as part of their 3500 mile (one way) road trip from North Carolina. I got a chance to show them where I work, some beautiful scenery around here, eat many enjoyable meals together, and travel to Yosemite. We stayed in a 3 walled half-tent half-cabin mutant they had booked well in advance and ended up hiking the first part of the trail up to half dome. I’ll make this a brief story and just mention that Mom ended up separated from Dad and I had to run up and down the mountain trying to find her before it got dark. Well, it got dark. I ran back down the mountain, talked to a ranger, and was 5 minutes away from having a search and rescue team go up there before she appeared it. She’s OK, folks!
Anyways, it was a great visit indeed and makes me look forward to our family lake trip in mid August. See you soon!
Here are some of the numerous nice pictures they’ve taken along the way:

It was a lot of fun visiting Davy! We will send him pictures of Davy and the Cisco sign for posting!!
Hey davy! Glad to see your blog is back up (last I checked it was down). Kyle told me about your job, awesomeness! Next time we got to cpl (nevermind that they went out of business) you can provide the routers, right?
Anyways, nice to see that you’re doing well. If you ever want to come do a running event in DC (There are a ton, they’re always closing downtown — here are a few I could find http://www.runwashington.com/calendar/smu.html) you can always stay at my place : )
