My life is incredibly simple and wonderful here. I have essentially no stress, it’s amazing. My days consist of going to school, hanging out with friends, studying Japanese, taking & editing pictures, and going to ridiculously cool places. Everyday I think about how lucky I am to have this opportunity and all the people who make it happen. So thanks a ton Mom & Dad and also Tony Moyer from the NC State Japan Department for helping me out tremendously!
I’m learning a bunch, not so much inside of class, but much more outside. I couldn’t be happier to have picked Japan as my study abroad location. It’s such a different place from anywhere I’ve ever lived, or even been for that matter. It’s really helping to see the world in a much less America-centric way and much more globally oriented, among many other things. Hopefully I’ll be able to formulate some thoughts into text over the next months and write some about it here.
This post isn’t one of those “write something cheesy because you have to for a scholarship essay” things either. This is genuine cheesiness. Thanks everybody for checking up on me here too and leaving comments and everything. I feel much closer to home everytime I get on the internet and it’s helped to keep the homesickness to a minimum. Can’t wait to see you all soon!
