The transition from Southeast Asia backpacking to standard Tokyo living was a bit strange. After a 6 week trip I would normally expect to go home where everything is easy, people speak English again, and I don’t have to take care of myself completely in my apartment. Instead I’ve just gone from an extremely foreign environment to a less foreign environment.
School starts on Thursday but I’ve been keeping busy during my last remaining time off. Yesterday I went to an all day music festival that I’ll describe in more detail when I get pictures from friends. I joined the ultimate frisbee club here which was fairly impossible last semester as I couldn’t speak a word of Japanese. They don’t speak English so it’s a really good chance for practice.
It’s time to go sign up for classes now though so I’m off to school. Sorry for the lack of anything here, more later!
