The plane ticket has been purchased (thanks & love Parents)! I’ll be flying back home into Asheville on December 16th and returning back to this silly place on December 30th (leaving the 29th) to be able to do the New Years Eve thing in Tokyo. This will probably be the last time I come home before next August 2007 so if you had any desire to see me in the early stages of my Japanese transformation then let’s hang out!
So today after classes Moe and I went and explored some super industrial section of Tokyo that had tons of high rise buildings. We got a free elevator ride up to the 45th or so floor (200 meters high) of one building which provided a pretty phenomenal view. Unfortunately, they didn’t let me use my tripod so all of my handheld shots through the thick glass turned out too poorly to post here.
Most of my pictures from tonight turned out underexposed. My LCD screen was showing the pictures bright enough but if I had paid attention to the light graph I would have seen they were mostly all too dark. Next time I’ll remember, hopefully. I managed to rescue a few of the pictures with Picasa even though they were degraded pretty significantly in quality.
I started taking some pictures in the bottom of the building as well and after getting a couple off (such as this next one) they forced me to stop using my tripod again. *shakes fist*

I want to stitch together some of the pictures of the building (as my lens was not wide enough to get very much in) so I’ll post some more later.
