I woke up early today and took a couple subways to Nerima where Moe helped me get my Alien Registration card necessary for opening a bank account and getting a cell phone.  It wasn’t too difficult, actually, but afterwards we went to Ikebukuro and Moe helped me get a cell phone, which was considerably harder.  Even with Moe translating between the employee and me it took about 30 minutes or so to just figure out what plan/phone I could buy.  There was a lot of awkward laughing and looks.  At one point the guy said about this one plan that if I talked too long it would “bring me great danger.”  Needless to say, I didn’t get that plan.  But, huzzah!  I have a phone now!  It doesn’t cuddle me at night but it does take 1000 pictures, video, and can transfer them from phone to phone or to my computer.  It’s really quite nice but it’ll be pretty much useless when I’m done with it here.  It was only about 20 bucks a month for the plan that includes the phone, so it’s a pretty sweet deal.  Once again thanks a bunch Moe for helping!  There’s no way I could have gotten the phone without her.

My computer is reallllyyy frustrating.  I think it may be a hardware problem since I JUST formatted it and it’s still acting really horribly.  I’ve wasted way too much time here trying to get this stuff to work when I could be e-mailing people and doing productive things. 

Anyways, things are still great, but would be much better if I could get this thing to work.  I’m going to keep trying though.  One of these days…
