Bangkok

Bangkok is dirttyyyyyy.  Tokyo is sensory overload sometimes with the sounds, crowds, lights, and just general ridiculousness of it.  Add onto that the fact that now I went back to the beginning with the language here (which sounds way weirder than Japanese) and add the fact that Bangkok stinks like you are constantly walking beside a sewer, is hot, and humid and you’ll see why it’s not my favorite place in the world.  I need to get out of big cities so I bought an overnight sleeper 14 hour train ticket to Chaing Mai tomorrow for about 20 dollars.  It leaves at 7:30 tomorrow evening so I’ll have tomorrow to walk around in this interesting city.

It took me about 5 minutes of walking around outside before a prostitute here wrote down her name, phone number, and price on a piece of paper and gave it to me after I asked her directions to some place.

The plane flight was only 7 hours but it was fairly miserable.  For some reason I felt like my body had been beaten repeatedly with a baseball bat and I had a bad headache which is also very rare for me.  I feel better now but need some sleep it all off, I think.  Ended up walking around way longer than I expected in Bangkok trying to find a bag and buy that plane ticket but had a most excellent ride on the back of a motorcycle taxi back from the train station for a dollar.

My room is really pretty dang nice and convenient for being 9 dollars.  In fact, it’s so nice I think I’m going to go pass out it in now.  Sleeeeeeep <3
