Here’s some actual information:
I am in San Jose, California and really enjoying my job here at Cisco.
(Edit: Mom and Dad came to visit and we did, indeed, have a great time in Yosemite. I neglected to mention this because I was holding out for pictures)
I am going to Las Vegas with some friends here in a couple hours and will return on Sunday. We are driving and staying 3 nights in The Venetian hotel.
I have given up on finding a convenient and reasonably priced pool for the Summer and have been only biking and running because of that.
I’ll be in a half marathon race (13.1 miles) in a week and a half (July 13th) that I am looking forward to.
I plan on doing my first marathon sometime this Fall. My distances have been gradually increasing each week without injury so as long as things keep going like they are going I should be fairly prepared. I had a quality 18 mile run on Tuesday that I was really happy with and typical marathon training only pushes to 20-22 mile training runs max so I’m almost there. By “there” I don’t mean speed though, only distance. My current and most important training goal: Boston Marathon. To qualify for the Boston marathon you have to have previously completed a marathon under a time of 3 hours and 10 minutes. That’s about 7 minutes and 15 seconds per mile for all 26.2 miles. My last training run was about 7 minutes and 30 seconds per mile for 18 miles so I don’t think I’m too far from where I want to be. We’ll see if I can deliver at some point, if not this one than the next
Anyways, better late than never, better something than nothing, right?
Happy 4th of July!

Also my mom and dad drove 3500 miles to visit me and we had a great time at Yosemite.
