Asheville, NC

The city I grew up in and will always proudly refer to as my home
Often found in lists of the top places to live in the country.

70 thousand people

Rolling stone gave it the moniker “The Freak Capital of the US”

It is an amazing city, filled with art, restaurants, culture, and many strangely dressed people

Tokyo

My first taste of metropolitan living.

12 million people in the central area

33-36 million people in the Greater Tokyo Area

This enormous city was the location of my 11 month study abroad program from September 2006 to August 2007.

Picked fairly arbitrarily on the fact that it looked exciting. Before I went I knew no Japanese or anything about Japan/Japanese culture.

Changed everything.

I look forward to returning someday.

Raleigh, NC

350 thousand people

My current residence as I attend NCSU in the hopes of someday (May 2009) graduating with a degree in Physics and Computer Science.

Things I do

Train and compete in triathlons.

Study Japanese a ton. Will be taking the Level 1 Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) December 2008.

Travel whenever I get a chance.
